2018 xc-90 rides like a tank

Our suz hits all bumps pretty hard. Non dealer mechanic says it needs new struts at 47,000 miles. Volvo says they haven't had any issues. Has anyone had this problem. Wouldn't mind changing them if it was for sure the problem. Thanks
